Large bronze sculpture, 14½ inches tall, 9¾ inches wide, 9¾ inches long. Circa 1987. Titled
"Creation". Painter, sculptor, and author Charles Bragg (1931-2017) was a social satire
artist. His art has been exhibited in museums and galleries, commissioned by Playboy, and
documented in a PBS program. He won a Gold Medal from the National Society of
Illustrators and an Award of Merit from the Art Directors Guild of New York. His
publications include Charles Bragg on Medicine (1984), Charles Bragg: The Works! A
Retrospective (1999), and Asylum Earth (2013). Excellent condition.

Saturday Evening Post illustrator Norman Rockwell drew an original blue ink picture of a
dog on this typed letter, which he signed in 1970. Interestingly, this letter, on his
personalized stationery, is an apology that he can't send the recipient a sketch or drawing!
With original mailing envelope.

Rockwell's personalized stationery. With 4¾x1½ blue ink drawing near bottom edge. March
10, 1970. In full: "Dear Lachie MacLachlan: Thank you for your letter and for all the nice
things you said about my paintings. I am really sorry but I just don't have any sketches or
drawings that I could send you, so I am returning your check. Again, than you for your
interest in writing to me. Cordially,". Lightly toned and creased. Paper clip impressions near
top and bottom edges, which touch drawing but not signature. Light ink smudges in body of
letter. Rust stain near bottom edge. Lightly discolored on verso (no show-through). Folded in
half and unfolded. Otherwise in fine condition. Accompanied by: Unsigned envelope from
Rockwell's personalized stationery. 6¼x4. Postmarked Stockbridge, Massachusetts, March

Costa Rican-born artist Zúñiga (1912-1998) was primarily a painter up until 1936, when he
moved to Mexico and became an important figure in Mexico's political moderne style,
with his life-sized stone and bronze sculptures of indigenous women with big
proportions and tightly wrapped shawls. His art reflects a great respect for the cultures and
people of Central America and is in the permanent collections of the Metropolitan Museum of
Art and Museum of Modern Art in New York, the Museo de Arte Moderno in Mexico City
and the Hirshborn Museum in Washington, D. C., among others.

Numbered AP XX/XXX. 10½ x 14 visible. Hirschfeld (1903-2003) was a renowned
cartoonist, author and theatrical caricaturist with "The New York Times" from 1929.
From 1945 on, Hirschfeld began incorporating the name of his daughter, Nina, in his drawings.
The addition became so popular with his audience that after 1956 he began adding a numeral
after his signature to signify how many "NINAs" he had hidden in the work. Hirschfeld died on
January 20, 2003 at the age of 99. Framed to an overall size of 19¾ x 23½. Fine condition.…"
